Near a mirror, this distance prevents the lighting from looking too flat.

General installation rule: 1.60 m from the floor on either side of a mirror, and 1.50 m from the head of a bed. Under a porch, place it where it is protected from direct rain.

Material, finish, and care

The body is made of metal and finished in dark or light wood, depending on the version ordered. The opal glass globe can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. For the metal, a dry cloth is sufficient; wipe away limescale before it dries.

Bulb and installation

A single G9 socket, fitted with a 7 W maximum bulb purchased separately. As the globe conceals the light source, the shape of the bulb is not important. A dimmable G9 LED bulb allows you to make use of the compatible dimmer mentioned.

Frequently asked questions

Which G9 bulb should I use with Veno?

A G9 with a maximum wattage of 7 W, preferably LED, is not included. Choose warm white so that the opal glass retains a creamy rather than bluish tint. If you plan to install a dimmer, check the packaging for a dimmable rating: not all LED G9 bulbs are dimmable, and a non-dimmable bulb will flicker.

Can Veno be installed above a sink?

The manufacturer states that it is certified for wet areas, but does not provide an IP rating. In the absence of this rating, we recommend installing it on either side of a mirror rather than directly above the basin, and away from the shower. An electrician should handle the wiring and determine the appropriate size.

Dark wood or light wood?

The dark wood finish, similar to walnut, contrasts with a white wall and complements dark woodwork. The light finish blends into Scandinavian-style interiors and beige tiles. Both versions have the same dimensions and the same opal glass globe: only the finish on the structure differs.

Is the 13 cm depth an issue?

In a hallway measuring 90 cm or more, no: you can pass by without touching it. However, avoid installing it at shoulder height in a narrower passageway or near a door that opens against the wall. In these situations, a flat wall light remains the safest choice.

For more options

See other glass diffusers in our selection of wall lights:

Nava, opal glass capsule

Keva, resin and opal glass

Nemi, travertine and opal glass

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1050/3949/5499/files/Designsanstitre-2026-04-04T140511.150.png?v=1793206949
