The tinted glass slightly colors the light projected on the wall, which works better on a light background than on busy wallpaper.

General installation rule: around 1.60 m from the floor so that the corolla remains at eye level when standing, 1.40 m next to a seat. Allow for a flat wall, as the glass piece does not fit well into a corner.

Material, finish and maintenance

Gray gives a sober and stable look, blue a livelier note. Since the glass is translucent and not transparent, the source remains softened and the shade is mainly seen once the lamp is turned on. Clean the corolla with warm soapy water, when the lamp is cold, and dry without pressing on the irregular edges.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED is integrated into the luminaire and delivered with it: there is no bulb to choose from or socket to screw in. The power supply is via cable, on a fixed outlet, and the length is not adjustable. The manufacturer provides for assembly at installation and recommends entrusting the connection to an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Gray or blue: which one to choose?

The manufacturer describes gray as sober and stable, blue as livelier. On a white or beige wall, gray blends in without drawing attention and maintains a light close to white. Blue, on the other hand, visibly tints the projected halo and becomes a colored accent, interesting in an entryway or office.

Does the tinted glass reduce the light?

Colored glass filters part of the spectrum, so the halo appears less white than with an opal diffuser. With an integrated LED source, the effect remains measured and the room retains ambient lighting. Simply plan another source for reading or working, as this wall light falls into the decorative category.

Can several be installed side by side?

Yes, and the irregular shape lends itself to it: two or three corollas aligned at the same height compose a light frieze along a hallway or behind a sofa. Each wall light requires its own cable outlet, as the connection is not adjustable. Keep a constant spacing so that the alignment remains neat.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No. The stated rating is IP20, meaning no protection against water, and the manufacturer classifies the model for dry indoor use. The living room, bedroom, entryway, or office correspond to its intended use. For a bathroom, opt for a luminaire indicating at least an IP44 rating.

To go further

Tinted glass can be found in our selection of wall lights.
