Place the orb at around 1.70 m above the floor, which positions the mounting point significantly lower.

Material, finish and care

The frosted glass conceals the bulb and softens the beam. The rod combines metal and wood depending on the version: copper with walnut, or nickel with black. The frosted glass can be cleaned with barely soapy water and then dried; the wood should only be wiped dry.

Bulb and installation

Lolli takes an E26 or E27 screw-in bulb, not supplied, with a maximum incandescent wattage of 40 W. As the glass is frosted, an exposed-filament LED is not necessary. The light is hardwired and connects to a fixed cable outlet.

Frequently asked questions

Which version should I choose: copper and walnut or nickel and black?

The copper and walnut version warms up a room with woody tones, while the nickel and black version works better in a graphic, high-contrast interior. The dimensions, E27 socket and maximum wattage are exactly the same: only the finishes differ.

Does the frosted glass reduce the brightness?

Frosted glass diffuses the light rather than letting it pass through directly: the room receives a more even clarity and the filament is no longer visible. The perceived loss remains modest and can be offset by choosing a slightly brighter LED.

How high should a 54 cm light fixture be installed?

You need a clear section of wall at least 70 cm high so that the silhouette has room to breathe. Also check that no door trim or cornice cuts off the top of the rod. In terms of width, 15 cm is sufficient in a hallway.

Can the light from Lolli be dimmed?

Yes, the manufacturer states that it is compatible with a dimmer switch, not supplied. The bulb must also be dimmable, as indicated on its packaging. With frosted glass, dimming provides a very gradual result that is pleasant in the evening in a living room.

For more inspiration

Compare glass diffusers in our wall light collection.
