It is the ideal solution for a bedside table, a desk area, a rental bed headboard or a living room wall that you do not want to drill into any further. The inline switch is close at hand without having to leave bed.

General installation rule: with a cord measuring approximately 150 cm, place the wall plate 1.20 or 1.30 m above the floor over a bedside table, and make sure the outlet remains accessible without stretching the cable.

Material, finish and maintenance

The tube is made of solid-colored glass in smoke grey or amber; the frame is black. A dry microfiber cloth restores the glass's clarity. Avoid glass cleaners at the glass-metal junction, where the product can seep in and leave a white halo as it dries.

Bulb and installation

The socket accepts E26 and E27 bases, up to 40 W. The bulb is not included; LED or filament bulbs are suitable, the latter being highly visible behind smoke grey or amber glass. Installation is limited to the wall plate, then the cord connects to the outlet. Choose the plug type corresponding to your country at the time of ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Smoke grey glass or amber glass?

Smoke grey darkens the light source and produces a more subdued, almost grey light that complements black-and-white interiors. Amber warms the beam and gives it a golden hue, especially with a filament bulb. The dimensions, socket and cord are identical in both cases.

Which plug should I order in France?

The European plug version is the one that corresponds to French electrical installations. British, American and Australian variants are available for other electrical systems. The choice is made at the time of ordering and does not change the dimensions, glass shade or price.

Can the cord be removed for hardwired installation?

This is not provided by the manufacturer: Mora is designed as a plug-in wall lamp, with its switch integrated into the cable. Any modification would fall outside the stated intended use. If you are looking for a fixed-wiring wall lamp, our customer service team can tell you which models are suitable.

How to conceal the exposed cable?

The cord is part of the design and remains visible. You can run it straight down the wall to the outlet, tuck it behind a piece of furniture or use a cable trunking painted the same color as the wall. Extending the cable is not recommended: the inline switch must remain accessible.

For more options

Discover more solid-colored glass lamps in our wall lamp collection.
