Install multiple light points along a fence instead of relying on a single wall light.

The wiring is direct and the cable is not adjustable: the electrical outlet must be located at the mounting point. General installation rule: frame a door with two wall lights at 1.90 or 2 m above the ground, 15 or 20 cm from the door frame.

Material, finish and maintenance

The silver metal frame matches aluminum window and door frames and gray railings. Glass gets dirty quickly outdoors: wash it with soapy water once the lamp is cool, then dry it with a lint-free cloth to prevent limescale marks. Nothing should be removed during cleaning, as the sealing gasket must remain in place.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E26 and one warm white LED is included. The maximum permitted power is 10 W, which excludes high-power bulbs: stick to an LED if you replace the bulb. The voltage is 110 to 240 V, powered by direct wiring, and mounting is done during installation. Hire an electrician for outdoor wiring.

Frequently asked questions

Will an E27 bulb fit an E26 socket?

Both screw bases have the same thread and are generally compatible, with E26 being the North American standard for the European E27. However, respect the stated 10 W limit and the size of the glass so that the bulb does not touch the wall.

Is Wyre resistant to rain?

Its IP65 rating protects it against dust and water jets, which covers heavy rain on a facade or courtyard wall. Immersion is not covered: avoid placing it where water accumulates at the base of the light fixture, and check that the cable entry remains watertight after installation.

How to choose between the six variants?

They differ only in the shape and volume of the glass, designated B, C, D, E, F and H in the model list. The product photos show each shape. Start with the available wall width and the space allowed near a door or shutter.

What does direct wiring mean?

The wall light has neither an integrated outlet nor a switch: it is hardwired to an existing circuit behind the mounting plate. Therefore, you need a cable outlet at the installation point, protected and designed for outdoor use, and a switch located upstream in the installation.

Learn more

Discover glass shades from our selection of wall lights.
