The light fixture retains its decorative appeal even when switched off, appealing to lovers of Art Deco animal motifs.

Four combinations are available: a gold or black frame, with a white or clear globe.

Technical specifications

Main materials: metal and glass

Body: metal

Shade: glass

Finishes: gold or black, white or clear globe

Socket: E27

Light source: LED, bulb included

Power supply: 110 to 240 V, hardwired

Protection rating: IP20, for indoor use

Recommended illuminated area: 10 to 15 m²

Dimmable: no

Assembly: assembly required

Where to install this wall light?

The manufacturer recommends the living room and bedroom, as well as the study and reading nook. Since the deer silhouette gives the model its character, it is best placed on a bare wall that allows it to stand out: a section of wall between two windows, the end of a hallway, or a study wall above a shelf.

General installation rule: for a decorative light fixture intended to be seen, the center should be placed at eye level, between 1.50 m and 1.65 m above the floor, rather than at the usual height for passage lighting.

Material, finish and maintenance

The frame is made of metal, and the shade is made of glass. The globe should be cleaned with a soft, lint-free cloth after the bulb has been switched off and has cooled. For the gold finish, avoid acidic cleaners that can dull the coating. The deer's contours collect dust: a soft brush is more effective than a cloth.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E27, the standard screw-in type, and an LED bulb is supplied with the wall light. It can later be replaced with a standard E27 LED. The power supply covers 110 to 240 V via a fixed cable. The cable is not adjustable: plan the wall outlet in the correct position before fixing the mounting plate.

Frequently asked questions

Which E27 bulb should I choose for this model?

An E27 LED is sufficient, such as the one supplied. For a living room or bedroom, a warm color temperature of around 2700 K remains consistent with the white or clear globe. With the clear globe, the bulb is visible: a well-finished filament LED will provide a better result than a bare technical model.

White globe or clear globe?

The white globe diffuses the light and conceals the bulb: the lighting is softer and more even, making it suitable for a bedroom. The clear globe leaves the light source visible and produces more pronounced reflections on the metal deer. It highlights the silhouette more, but may cause glare when viewed up close.

The cable is not adjustable, so how should I prepare for installation?

First, locate the existing cable outlet, then position the mounting plate directly in front of it. If the outlet is poorly positioned, you must move it or plan a suitable cover before drilling. Also measure the wall thickness and choose the appropriate wall plugs for the support material, whether plasterboard or masonry.

Is it suitable for a narrow hallway?

With reservations. The deer and its globe protrude from the wall, and a narrow passage exposes the glass to impacts. In a wide hallway or open entrance, the model works well. In all cases, the IP20 rating limits installation to dry indoor rooms.

For more

Discover other glass and metal wall lights.
