With a diameter of 15 cm, it can also be aligned in pairs on either side of a bed.

General installation rule: allow 1.60 to 1.80 m from the floor in a hallway so that the globe remains out of reach of shoulders. The manufacturer's sheet also provides for ceiling mounting, where Umarion serves as a small short pendant in a hallway.

Material, finish and maintenance

The mount is metal, in brass or matte black; the globe is made of glass, opal or smoke grey. The opal glass remains clear even when turned off, while the smoke grey retains a dark and shimmering hue. Clean the sphere with a slightly damp microfiber cloth, with the lamp turned off and cooled.

Bulb and installation

Umarion works with a small E14 screw-in bulb, not included, LED or filament. The connection is made directly to the 110-240 V power supply, without a power socket, and the control is done via a standard wall switch that is not supplied with the luminaire.

Frequently asked questions

Which E14 bulb to choose for Umarion?

An E14 LED in warm white gives the best result behind a globe. Prefer a small bulb, flame or spherical type, so that it remains centered in the 15 cm of glass. With the smoke grey globe, the bulb is visible: a filament version gains in interest.

Opal glass or smoke grey glass?

Opal glass diffuses a white and even light, suitable for a hallway or a bedroom where you want to see clearly. Smoke grey darkens the globe and lowers the perceived intensity, for ambient light. Both versions exist with the brass mount as with the matte black mount.

Is Umarion resistant to bathroom humidity?

The manufacturer gives an IP 20 rating and specifies indoor use away from moisture. This luminaire is therefore not intended for a bathroom or a laundry room. Reserve it for dry rooms: bedroom, living room, hallway, entrance, office, or stairwell.

Can it be placed on the ceiling?

Yes, the manufacturer indicates ceiling mounting. The sphere and its stem then hang down by 25 cm, which is suitable for a hallway or a dressing room without great height. In both positions, the connection remains direct: plan a cable outlet at the exact location of the fixation.

To go further

Other globes and colored glasses await in our wall light catalog.
