It is therefore best suited to a wall that is viewed up close, at the head of a bed or above a chest of drawers, rather than high up in a large room. The manufacturer also recommends the office and kitchen.

General installation rule: approximately 1.40 m above the floor at the head of a bed so that the blossom remains at eye level when seated, and preferably 1.60 m above a low cabinet. The two-light version requires an unobstructed wall.

Material, finish and care

The clear glass and bronze complement each other: the light remains clear, while the stand takes on a dark, warm tone. The textured metal can trap dust; a soft brush removes it more effectively than a cloth. Wash the blossom in warm soapy water with the light off.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E14, a small screw-in type, and the manufacturer states that an LED bulb is supplied with the light. The power supply is provided via a cable connected to a fixed outlet after the blossom is assembled onto its stand. Electrical connection should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Frequently asked questions

One or two lights: how to choose?

The one-light version is sufficient as an additional wall light, for example on either side of a bed, where two lights are better than one double-headed light. The two-light version is suitable when a single mounting point needs to cover a wide section of wall, above a sideboard or worktop.

Does the clear glass cause glare?

The blossom does not conceal the bulb, so comfort depends on the bulb chosen. With an E14 LED with an opal cover, the light remains soft and the design of the glass is visible without any distracting glare. A highly visible filament bulb creates a more pronounced decorative effect but can also cause more glare when viewed head-on.

How does this wall light perform in a kitchen?

The manufacturer lists the kitchen as one of the recommended rooms, and the IP44 rating provides some protection against splashes. However, reserve it for a dining wall or a backsplash away from the stove: cooking residue can quickly accumulate on textured glass and requires frequent cleaning.

Can the intensity be adjusted?

No, the manufacturer explicitly states that the model is not dimmable. To adjust the atmosphere, instead play with the colour temperature of the E14 bulb: a 2700 K LED enhances the retro character of the blossom, while a 3000 K version makes the glass appear clearer and the light more comfortable to view.

Discover more

The retro style continues in our collection of wall lights.
