The manufacturer offers it in ten models, labeled A to J.

The sizes range from 16 x 9 x 25 cm to 28 x 10 x 16 cm. The tall models, around 25 cm high and 16 cm wide, can be placed on either side of a door; the wide models, up to 28 cm wide, spread across the wall above a piece of furniture.

The depth remains compact, at 9 to 10 cm depending on the variant, so people can pass by without bumping into it. General installation rule: in a corridor, aim for approximately 1.80 m above the floor; on either side of an entrance door, align the two wall lights with the height of the transom window.

Material, finish, and maintenance

Aluminum is lightweight and does not rust, making it easy to attach to a partition. Clean the glass with a soft cloth and soapy water, with the bulb switched off and cool. Opaque glass conceals the filament; the white and black versions create a contrast with the wall.

Bulb and installation

The socket accepts an E26 or E27 screw base, the standard large screw, and the bulb is not included. The manufacturer does not state the maximum allowable wattage: stick to a low-energy LED and hire an electrician for the connection.

Frequently asked questions

Can Olcarila be exposed to rain?

Nothing confirms this. Its original title suggests outdoor use, but the product data does not provide an IP rating or any mention of water resistance. Without a numerical rating, installing it in the open elements remains a gamble. Place it under a roof overhang or in a covered entrance, and contact our customer service team if in doubt.

How to choose between the ten models?

Start with the available space. The tall variants, around 25 cm high and 16 cm wide, frame a door or mirror well. The wide variants, up to 28 cm wide, fill a section of wall above a low piece of furniture. The exact dimensions of each model from A to J are given in the product details.

Which E27 bulb gives a vintage look?

A visible-filament LED in 2200 or 2400 K gives an amber light close to that of old incandescent bulbs, while using very little energy. Behind opaque glass, the filament is barely visible, and a standard warm-white LED is sufficient. The bulbs are not supplied with the wall light.

Does opaque glass provide less light?

It diffuses more than it absorbs. The light is broader and softer, without any glaring spots, making it suitable for a corridor or landing. Clear glass concentrates a sharper beam and leaves the bulb visible. At the same wattage, the perception of illumination changes more than the actual amount of light.

For more

Explore the glass models in our wall light catalog.
