The metal body and glass combine two sockets on the same vertical line. This narrow width combined with a height of 33.5 cm creates a band-like silhouette.

Four colors are listed: white, gold, black, and chrome.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 8.5 cm wide, 33.5 cm high

Body: metal

Materials: metal and glass

Listed colors: white, gold, black, chrome

Available versions: gold, chrome, black

Wiring: fixed wiring

Socket: E26 or E27, two per wall light

Bulbs: two 40 W incandescent bulbs or LED equivalent, not included

Dimmer: compatible, dimmer not included

Where to install this wall light?

At only 8.5 cm wide, Lyra fits where no round wall light can go: between two doors, in a wall panel, or along a narrow mirror. The two light sources distribute light across the entire height, avoiding a single halo concentrated in the center of the wall.

General installation rule: center the wall light at approximately 1.55 m to 1.65 m above the floor, so that the lower light illuminates at working height and the upper light shines toward the ceiling. On either side of a mirror, maintain an equal side distance and drill at the same height.

Material, finish, and maintenance

Gold warms the wall and matches gold handles and frames. Chrome remains cool and technical, while black recedes to leave the glass fully visible. Wipe the metal dry without using acidic products on the gold finish, and clean the glass with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Bulb and installation

Lyra takes two 40 W E26 or E27 incandescent bulbs or LED equivalent, not included. Choose identical bulbs, otherwise the difference in color temperature will be noticeable on the same vertical line. The wiring is fixed: a cable outlet in the wall is required behind the mounting plate.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need two bulbs of the same color temperature?

Yes. The two E27 sockets are aligned over a height of 33.5 cm: any difference in color temperature between them will be immediately noticeable. Buy the pair together in the same model, and replace both light sources at the same time rather than one at a time.

Does Lyra provide enough light for a living room?

Two 40 W LED equivalent light sources provide a substantial amount of light, significantly more than a single-light wall light of the same size. However, this is a wall light, so a ceiling light or floor lamp will complement it for general room lighting.

Which finish is best for a bedroom?

Gold gives the perception of warmer light and suits bedrooms with deep-colored walls. Black recedes and highlights the glass, which works well above a light-colored headboard. Chrome is better suited to rooms with metal furniture.

Does the 8.5 cm width cause any installation problems?

No, but the mounting plate remains narrow: mark the two drilling points precisely and choose wall plugs suitable for the support, whether drywall or solid masonry. Hold a paper template at the intended height to check that it is plumb and aligned before drilling into the wall.

Learn more

Discover our entire range of wall lights.
