The 40 cm version works well above a console table or in a bedroom; the 65 cm version requires a tall wall, a stairwell, or a double-height entrance.

General installation rule: place the centre of the cylinder approximately 1.55 to 1.65 m above the floor for the 40 cm version, and slightly higher for the 65 cm version to keep the glass out of direct view.

Material, finish and care

The gold-finished stainless steel withstands the years without tarnishing. The transparent crystal glass, however, shows dust: wipe it with a dry microfibre cloth, or slightly damp and dry immediately, with the bulb switched off and cooled. Avoid abrasive products on the gold finish.

Bulb and installation

Voveliel takes an E14 small screw-in bulb, not included. As the glass is transparent, the choice of bulb is visible: an exposed filament LED suits it better than an opaque globe. The wall light connects directly to a cable outlet and is switched on from a wall switch.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the 40 or 65 cm height?

The 40 cm version is suitable for most interior walls, above a low cabinet or in a bedroom. The 65 cm version is designed for tall spaces, staircases and entrances, where a short wall light would get lost. Both share the same diameter of 25 cm, the same E14 socket and the same crystal glass.

What E14 bulb should I use in transparent glass?

Choose an E14 LED with a visible filament in warm white, with a refined appearance, as it will remain visible through the crystal. Check that the bulb's diameter fits through the cylinder and complies with the mains voltage. The bulb is not included with the wall light.

Is Voveliel suitable for a bathroom?

No. The manufacturer's specifications indicate an IP 20 rating and for dry indoor use only. This rating does not cover water splashes or bathroom humidity. Reserve Voveliel for living spaces, bedrooms, hallways and entrances, away from any water source or steam.

What support should I provide for 4 kg?

At 4 kg, the wall light requires secure anchoring. On brick or concrete, suitable wall plugs are sufficient; on plasterboard, expansion plugs or, preferably, anchoring into a stud are required. General installation rule: have the support and connection checked by an electrician.

For more

Browse the other glass and metal options in our wall light collection.
