The choice of glass changes the atmosphere: white remains neutral, beige adds warmth, and pale pink colors the light it diffuses.

The wiring is fixed, with a separate wall switch. General installation rule: when installing a pair in a bedroom, keep them at a consistent height of around 1.50 m from the floor, measured from the center of the bed rather than from the adjacent wall.

Material, finish and care

The tinted glass forms the shade, while the iron and metal make up the frame, available in chrome or copper-plated finishes. These two shiny finishes show marks easily: a dry microfiber cloth will wipe them away. Clean the glass when the light is off and cool, without abrasive products that could dull the color.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E14, and the manufacturer specifies 15 W for a single bulb: this is the maximum power allowed. LED or filament, both are mentioned, with no indication that a bulb is included. The wall light connects to a cable outlet and is switched on from an external wall switch.

Frequently asked questions

What bulb wattage does Avrinir accept?

The manufacturer specifies 15 W for a single E14 bulb. This is the maximum power allowed. With LED, 15 W already provides comfortable lighting for a wall light of this size, much brighter than a filament bulb of the same power.

Which glass color should I choose?

White provides the most neutral light and suits any setting. Beige slightly warms the diffused light and matches walls in natural tones. Pale pink adds more color and is better suited to a bedroom. All three are available with either the chrome or copper-plated frame.

What should I know about the stated moisture rating?

The manufacturer mentions a damp rating while also indicating an IP 20 rating, which is not waterproof and is for indoor use only. The two statements are inconsistent, and no higher rating is provided. We therefore rely on the IP 20 rating: reserve Avrinir for a dry room, away from splashes.

Chrome or copper-plated?

Chrome gives a cool, silvery reflection that pairs well with gray tones and white glass. Copper-plated finish provides a warm reflection, which looks interesting with beige or pale pink glass. The dimensions, socket and maximum power are identical in both cases.

For more inspiration

Explore our glass wall lights.
