The 18 cm height illuminates a bedside table or a niche; the 28 cm is suitable for a hallway; the 48 cm creates a clean vertical line on an entrance or living room wall.

General installation rule: the center of the wall light should be approximately 1.55 m to 1.70 m from the floor in traffic areas, lower at the head of the bed. IP20: dry room, away from water splashes.

Material, finish and maintenance

Travertine is a porous limestone, pitted with small cavities: its pattern varies from one tube to another. Wipe the stone dry, with a soft cloth, without water or household products that seep into the pores and leave traces.

Bulb and installation

The socket accepts a G9 base, with LED or exposed filament bulb. Alsilis comes wired: it connects to a wall cable outlet and is turned on from an external wall switch, not supplied. Plan for the electrical supply at the chosen location and suitable wall plugs for the support.

Frequently asked questions

Which height of Alsilis should I choose?

Three heights are offered, all 10 cm wide. The 18 cm version remains discreet near a bedside table or a niche. The 28 cm finds its place in a hallway. The 48 cm, more assertive, dresses an entrance or living room wall. The ordered height is chosen from the product selector.

Which G9 bulb is suitable for this travertine wall light?

The stated socket is a G9, with LED or exposed filament bulb. An LED heats up little and protects the stone. A warm white, around 2700 to 3000 K, extends the yellow hue of the travertine; a cold light would make it look greyish. A single bulb is sufficient per wall light.

Is Alsilis suitable for a bathroom?

No. The manufacturer indicates an IP20 rating, for indoor use. This rating does not protect against splashes or the humidity of wet rooms. A bathroom wall light requires at least an IP44 and compliance with the safety volumes around the water point. Reserve Alsilis for dry rooms.

Are two travertine tubes identical?

No. Each tube is cut from natural travertine whose cavities and veins differ. Two wall lights of the same height will share the shape and yellow hue, but the pattern of the stone will remain unique to each. This is the mark of a real stone rather than a molded material.

To go further

Discover our natural stones in our selection of wall lights.
