applique-murale-travertin-et-verre-aureum
Travertine and glass wall sconce - Aureum

Aureum: a 32 cm stone and glass column

Aureum is a glass wall light mounted on a travertine body. It has the dimensions of a narrow column: 8.5 cm wide and 32 cm high. The socket is a G9, and it comes in a beige finish.

Its footprint is minimal for a stone wall light.

Technical specifications

Width: 8.5 cm

Projection: 8.5 cm

Height: 32 cm

Body: travertine

Shade: glass

Finish: beige

Socket: G9

Bulb: not included

Where to install this wall light?

At 8.5 cm wide, it takes up very little space: Aureum fits where a standard wall light cannot. Between two doors, on a pillar, or at the end of a narrow hallway.

Its verticality also makes it equally effective as a pair, positioned symmetrically on either side of a mirror or console. Its low projection helps prevent bumps in high-traffic areas.

General installation rule: for symmetrical placement, mark the center of the element to be framed, then measure the same distance on either side before drilling.

Material, finish and care

The manufacturer states that the travertine patterns vary from one piece to another and that the delivered item may not exactly match the photos. Dust the stone dry. The glass can be wiped with a barely damp cloth and dried immediately; no liquids should run onto the travertine.

Bulb and installation

The socket is a two-pin G9, and the bulb is not included. It is a compact format, consistent with the light's 8.5 cm cross-section. A LED G9 remains the safest choice in such a small space, where heat dissipates poorly.

General installation rule: connect to a fixed cable outlet. The weight is not specified; a stone body, even of this size, deserves wall plugs selected for the substrate by an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Which G9 bulb should I choose for Aureum?

A low-wattage two-pin G9, preferably LED. It is not supplied with the wall light. In a column with an 8.5 cm cross-section, a halogen bulb would quickly overheat when in contact with the glass: a LED avoids this problem and rarely needs replacing.

What shade is delivered?

The beige finish, which corresponds to the available version. The manufacturer's data sheet mentions a second shade, but only one reference actually exists in the catalog. There is therefore no choice to make at the time of purchase: the body comes in beige travertine, with its glass shade.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No protection rating is indicated for this reference, and travertine is a porous stone. We therefore cannot recommend it for damp spaces. Reserve it for dry rooms: entrance halls, hallways, bedrooms, and living rooms, where it will be free from splashes and condensation.

Will two pieces look the same?

The dimensions and shade will be identical, but not the pattern of the stone: the manufacturer states that the travertine patterns vary from one product to another. Positioned as a pair, the two wall lights complement each other in size and color, each retaining its own veining.

Learn more

Discover the other formats in our range of travertine wall lights.
