Model A, 17 cm high, is easy to repeat in a row. Model B, 22 cm, works as a single focal point near a door or entrance mirror.

General installation rule: in a hallway, install the wall lights at 1.80 m above the floor and space them 2 m apart; along a staircase, follow the incline while maintaining the same vertical distance from the stair nosing.

Material, finish and maintenance

The travertine shows surface holes and fissures, which the manufacturer describes as characteristic of this stone and having no effect on its durability. Clean it dry. The wood, in walnut or light wood finish, can be dusted with a soft cloth; the glass should be cleaned when switched off and barely damp, then wiped dry.

Bulb and installation

The manufacturer states an "E26 or E27" socket: opt for the E27, the European standard, the other being the North American standard. The bulb is not supplied and the stated limit is 40 W incandescent, or a 4 to 6 W LED for comparable illumination. The wall light is hardwired and connects to a fixed cable outlet.

Frequently asked questions

What bulb wattage should not be exceeded?

The manufacturer gives a clear limit: 40 W incandescent, or the LED equivalent. In practice, a 4 to 6 W E27 LED provides this amount of light while consuming very little and generating little heat, which is important in a body as compact as that of Model A.

Model A or Model B?

Model A measures 12 cm wide by 17 cm high, while Model B measures 15 by 22 cm. Choose Model A for a series in a hallway or stairwell, where repetition matters more than size. Model B stands out as a single piece, next to an entrance door or above a low console table.

Is the dimmer compatible?

Yes, the manufacturer states this, although the dimmer is not supplied. With an LED bulb, check that it is also marked as dimmable: a standard LED paired with a dimmer will flicker or refuse to dim low. The combination of dimmer and bulb is therefore just as important as the light fixture.

Do the wood and walnut finishes differ much?

The wood finish remains light and is close to oak, while the walnut finish is significantly darker and browner. Both retain the same beige travertine, so the contrast between stone and wood is subtle on the first and pronounced on the second. Dimensions and socket are identical.

For more

Compare the sizes in our selection of wall lights.
