The body is carved from travertine, and the shade is made of glass.

The manufacturer states that the stone patterns vary from one piece to another and that the images do not show the actual item shipped.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 10 cm diameter, 12 cm wide, 15 cm high

Body: travertine

Shade: glass

Stated colours: beige, white

Socket: G9

Bulbs: not included

Where to install this wall light?

A 15 cm light can be placed anywhere an ordinary wall light would appear too prominent: in a small hallway, on a bookshelf upright, above a light switch, or in a row along a long wall. Its discretion is its main advantage, provided you accept accent lighting.

General installation rule: to create rhythm along a wall, align three or four pieces at the same height, around 1.50 m above the floor, spaced 70 to 90 cm apart. The effect depends more on regularity than on brightness.

Material, finish and care

Travertine is porous: wipe with a dry cloth only, without standing water or acidic products. The glass shade should be cleaned separately, once the bulb has cooled, with a barely damp microfibre cloth. As the travertine veins vary from one block to another, two pieces placed side by side will not have the same pattern.

Bulb and installation

A G9 bulb is required, but not supplied. This two-pin socket is available with compact LED or halogen capsule bulbs; an LED is preferable in such a small fixture, as it generates much less heat in contact with the glass and stone. Check the maximum wattage in the instructions and the clearance available under the shade.

Frequently asked questions

Which G9 bulb is suitable for such a small fixture?

A low-wattage warm-white G9 LED. The small volume of the glass shade does not dissipate heat well: a halogen capsule will heat up quickly. Also measure the length of the bulb, as not all G9 LEDs will fit inside a diffuser of this size.

Is Symph bright enough for a bedroom?

It is suitable as ambient or accent lighting, not as general lighting. In a bedroom, pair it with a bedside lamp for reading. Its purpose is to highlight a wall without cluttering it, thanks to its 12 cm depth and 15 cm height.

Will two pieces have the same stone?

No. The manufacturer states that the travertine patterns vary from one product to another and that the images do not correspond to the block supplied. Two Symph lights will share the same shape and general colour but will have different veins, which is characteristic of natural stone.

Can several be aligned on the same wall?

Yes, this is actually the best way to make the most of such a small format. General installation rule: space the centres 70 to 90 cm apart and keep them at the same height, around 1.50 m above the floor. Each wall light requires its own electrical connection point.

For more

Browse our range of wall lights to compare small stone fixtures.
