The pleats break up the light and soften the beam, providing indirect illumination.

The fabric is available in two colors: white or beige. The manufacturer recommends it for living rooms and bedrooms measuring 5 to 10 m².

Technical specifications

Shade: pleated fabric

Color: white or beige

Stand: metal, adjustable light source

Socket: E26/E27

Bulb: not included; LED, incandescent or fluorescent bulbs accepted

Voltage: 110 to 240 V depending on the country of delivery

Power supply: hardwired

Protection rating: IP20, for indoor use

Color temperature: depends on the bulb chosen; not specified

Assembly: required upon delivery

Package contents: 1 wall light set

Recommended area: 5 to 10 m²

Where to install this wall light?

The fabric shade is best suited to dry, relatively dust-free rooms such as bedrooms, living rooms, or small offices. When installed above a bed, the pleated shade prevents glare when sitting up, while the adjustable stand allows the light to be directed toward the wall rather than the face.

General installation rule: mount a pair framing a bed at approximately 1.30 m above the floor, or slightly higher if the wall light provides general lighting in a living room corner. Avoid kitchens, where cooking grease can stain the fabric.

Material, finish and care

The white fabric reflects bright light, while the beige shade gives it a distinctly warmer feel: the color choice has a greater impact on the atmosphere than the bulb's wattage. Dust the pleats with a soft brush or a low-power vacuum cleaner, without rubbing the fabric or getting it damp.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E26/E27 screw socket; no bulb is included. A standard-shaped E27 LED bulb fits under the pleated shade; an incandescent bulb is also suitable. The light is hardwired to a fixed cable outlet, which must be installed before mounting the wall light. The manufacturer recommends hiring an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Does the fabric shade get hot with the bulb?

With an E27 LED bulb, the heat emitted remains low and does not damage the fabric. If you prefer an incandescent bulb, choose a moderate wattage and allow air to circulate around the shade. As the manufacturer does not specify a maximum wattage, an LED bulb remains the safest choice.

How do you clean a pleated shade?

Dry clean only. Use a soft brush to gently brush the pleats from top to bottom, or use the brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to the lowest power. Do not use water or stain remover: the fabric is stretched over a frame, and any water stains would remain visible. Turn off the power before handling the shade.

White or beige for a bedroom?

White maintains a neutral light and makes a small bedroom appear larger. Beige creates a warmer effect, similar to the light from a bedside lamp, and complements light-colored wood and off-white walls. The metal structure and socket are identical in both versions.

Can the light be directed upwards?

Yes, the metal stand is adjustable: you can direct the shade toward the ceiling for indirect lighting or downward for reading. The shade can be adjusted by hand after installation, while the wall plate remains fixed as it houses the electrical connection.

Discover more

Explore other textiles and metal wall lights in our selection of wall lights.
