It stands 68 cm high, with a diameter of 12 cm and a projection of just 13 cm.

The specified E14 socket is a standard size that makes choosing a bulb easy.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 12 cm diameter, 13 cm wide, 68 cm high

Body: iron

Shade: fabric

Colours: black, linen

Socket: E14

Bulbs: not included

Where to install this wall light?

With a projection of 13 cm and a diameter of 12 cm, Cirrus fits where most wall lights with shades cannot, particularly in a hallway or between a door and a corner. However, its 68 cm height requires a wall free from any intermediate elements, high switches or picture rails.

General installation rule: to accompany seating, place the bottom of the shade above the eye level of a seated person, approximately 1.35 m above the floor for the centre of the light.

Material, finish and care

The contrast between the black iron and the linen fabric defines the model's appearance. Vacuum the fabric at a low power setting with a soft-bristle attachment, taking care never to get it wet, as linen colours show marks easily. Wipe the iron body with a slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately.

Bulb and installation

An E14 bulb is required and is not supplied. In a fabric shade, frosted glass distributes light more evenly than a highly focused filament, which can cast shadows on the fabric weave. Measure the clear height under the shade before choosing a bulb: the bulb must not touch the fabric at any point.

Frequently asked questions

Is Cirrus suitable for a narrow hallway?

Yes, this is one of its strengths: a projection of just 13 cm for a model with a shade. General installation rule: in a passageway, position the centre of the light approximately 1.60 m above the floor and check that the 68 cm vertical height does not meet any switches or wall returns.

Which bulb best showcases the linen fabric?

An E14 with frosted glass in warm white, around 2700 K. This colour illuminates the linen without making it look green or grey. Neutral or cool whites, on the contrary, make the fabric weave look harsher. Avoid highly visible filaments, which project their design onto the shade.

How to clean a light-coloured fabric shade?

Dry cleaning only. Vacuum at a low power setting with a soft-bristle attachment, working in small areas and holding the frame with the other hand. Water and stain removers leave visible rings on linen colours; it is better to dust regularly than to attempt wet cleaning.

Can two be installed on either side of a bed?

Yes, its small footprint makes it ideal for this. General installation rule: fix them at the same height, with the centre of the wall light approximately 1.35 m above the floor and 20 or 25 cm from the edge of the mattress. Each requires its own connection point on the wall.

For more

Browse our selection of wall lights to compare narrow formats.
