Two pieces nicely frame a bed or a vertical mirror; one is enough above an entryway console. The 32 cm version stands out in a room with high ceilings.

General installation rule: for a pair, measure the distance from the center of the bed rather than from the walls, so that the two wall lights remain symmetrical even if the room is not.

Material, finish and maintenance

Terrazzo is a mortar filled with stone chips: its surface is hard, slightly speckled, and the pattern varies depending on the casting. Walnut brings a warm brown hue. Dust both materials dry and avoid letting water pool on the wood.

Bulb and installation

The socket accepts E26 or E27 bases. The manufacturer states a maximum of 40 W incandescent bulb, or an LED with equivalent rendering. Compatibility with a dimmer is indicated, but the dimmer is not supplied. The wall light is wired and connects to the domestic electrical system.

Frequently asked questions

What bulb wattage for Fioren?

The manufacturer states 40 W incandescent or equivalent LED, that is to say an LED delivering a comparable flux, around four to six watts depending on the model. Stay within this limit so as not to unnecessarily heat the terrazzo body. The bulb is not supplied.

Can Fioren be connected to a dimmer?

The sheet indicates compatibility with dimmers, without supplying the dimmer. On the bulb side, you must then choose a model itself declared dimmable: not all E27 LEDs are. The dimmer must also be suitable for the installed load, a point to be checked.

28 or 32 cm: which one to choose?

Both versions share the same width of 6.5 cm and the same electrical characteristics. Only the height changes. At standard ceiling height, 28 cm is enough; above 2.70 m, or along a large mirror, the 32 cm better maintains the proportions of the wall.

Are the speckles of the terrazzo always the same?

No. Terrazzo mixes stone chips in a binder: their distribution depends on the casting, so that each body displays a different pattern. Placed in a pair, two wall lights will have the same general hue, beige and walnut, but not exactly the same pattern.

To go further

Compare it to the other references in the wall light collection.
