The manufacturer recommends it for a living room or bedroom, providing soft light in the evening. In an entryway, mounted above a console table, it marks the arrival point.

General installation rule: approximately 1.60 m above the floor above a low cabinet, or 1.30 m as a bedside reading light. As the sphere extends from the wall, leave a clearance equal to a hand's width from a corner or door frame.

Material, finish and maintenance

The brushed metal reflects a matte light, without bright spots, which balances the transparency of the glass. The sphere can be cleaned with warm soapy water, without rubbing. On the black finish, a damp cloth removes marks more effectively.

Bulb and installation

The socket is a two-pin G9, and the manufacturer states that an LED bulb is included with the wall light. If replacing it, choose a G9 designed for 230 V, not a low-voltage model. It is installed on a fixed cable outlet, after attaching the sphere to its frame.

Frequently asked questions

What does a G9 socket offer compared to an E27?

A G9 is much more compact: the bulb almost completely disappears inside the sphere, preserving the purity of the shape when viewed from the outside. In return, the choice of replacement bulbs is more limited than with an E27, and you must check that the chosen G9 works properly at 230 V.

Does the clear glass reveal the bulb?

Yes, that is the principle of this model: the wall is transparent and the light passes through the glass. The compromise lies with the replacement bulb. A frosted G9 softens the light source, while a clear G9 enhances the reflections on the sphere but becomes more noticeable in the field of vision.

Gold or black, which blends in more easily?

Black is discreet and pairs well with dark door frames as well as light-colored walls. Gold draws more attention and warms up a white or gray room. Both versions share the same glass sphere and G9 socket: the difference lies in the frame, not the light.

How many units in a living room?

For ambient lighting, two wall lights mounted symmetrically on either side of a sofa or sideboard provide a balanced result. A single unit is suitable for a narrow section of wall or a reading nook. The area recommended by the manufacturer, 5 to 10 m2, corresponds to one room per unit.

For more

Round shapes can also be found in our catalog of wall lights.
