The 35 cm version is ideal for a hallway or bedroom. The 42 cm version works well on an average-sized living room wall. The 55 cm version becomes the dominant feature of a room and requires some space: allow at least two metres of viewing distance.

General installation rule: centre the disc at approximately 1.60 m above the floor for the first two sizes, and slightly higher for the 55 cm version so that its lower edge does not obstruct traffic.

Material, finish and care

Silk is a delicate fabric: dust it with a large brush or a vacuum cleaner set to its lowest setting, and never get it wet or rub it. The nickel-plated frame only needs a dry cloth. Avoid cleaning sprays, as the droplets will permanently stain the silk.

Bulb and installation

No bulb is required: the LED is integrated and cannot be replaced. The light fixture is connected with fixed wiring to a cable outlet, at 110 to 240 V, and controlled by a standard push-button switch installed upstream and not supplied. The disc is fixed to a central plate.

Frequently asked questions

Which size Panel should I choose?

First, measure the available wall space and leave a margin of at least 15 cm on each side of the disc. The 35 cm version is suitable for a hallway or narrow wall section, the 42 cm for an average living room, and the 55 cm for a large, clear wall that you want to transform into a focal point of light.

Does the silk allow enough light through?

Yes, that is precisely its role here: the stretched silk acts as a very wide diffuser, softening the LED and preventing any glare. In return, the light is enveloping rather than directional. To illuminate a specific area, add a directional light source.

Can the silk be cleaned if it gets stained?

It is best not to try using water: the silk will leave a ring and sag. Regular dusting with a soft brush prevents most marks. For a set-in stain, consult a specialist cleaner rather than risking damage to the stretched fabric.

Can the integrated LED be replaced?

No, it is part of the light fixture. This is the principle of an integrated light source: no socket, no bulb to buy, but it cannot be replaced either. The three available colour temperatures, from 3000 to 6000 K, depend on the version ordered.

Discover more

Discover large-format models in our selection of wall lights.
