Ilyra therefore serves as a graphic element as much as a light source: in a living room, at the corner of a desk, or in an empty hallway. Warm white is suitable for a living room, while cool white is ideal for a workspace.

General installation rule: 1.60 to 1.70 m above the floor for walkways, or slightly lower if the wall light is positioned above a worktop. Plan the location of the power supply box before closing the recessed box.

Material, finish and maintenance

Silicone should be cleaned by hand with a soft, barely damp cloth: it attracts dust but is not damaged by surface water. Brass, on the other hand, only requires a dry cloth. Avoid solvents, which can dull the paint applied to the metal parts.

Bulb and installation

The LED is integrated: there is nothing to screw in or replace. The manufacturer states that a power supply box is required and should be housed behind the mounting plate or in the recessed box. It is controlled by a push-button switch with no dimming control, and the color remains the one chosen when ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Three color temperatures are stated: which ones can be ordered?

The manufacturer lists 3000 K, 4500 K and 6000 K, but only two colors can actually be ordered: warm white and cool white. The choice is final, as the LED is integrated and cannot be changed. For an intermediate white, contact our customer service before placing your order.

What is the difference between the gold and black and black and gold finishes?

Both versions combine the same colors, but the dominant color changes: one highlights gold, the other black. On a light-colored wall, the black-dominant version stands out more clearly; the gold version warms up a room with cool-toned walls. The shade remains white in both cases.

Can the silicone section be shortened or bent?

No. The silicone is part of the light body and contains the electronics. It cannot be cut and should not be bent by force during installation. Handle the wall light by its brass frame, using the mounting template provided with the light.

Should a dimmer be used?

No. The manufacturer states that it is controlled by a push-button switch with no dimming control and includes a power supply box. Connecting a dimmer upstream could cause the LED to flicker or damage the power supply. Use a simple switch for this wall light.

For more options

Browse our integrated LED models in the wall light collection. The Oriel wall light also features a gold line, the Gleace model features a ring design, and the Harland wall light is available in black or gold.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1050/3949/5499/files/Oval_LED_Wall_Lamp__29_b389bbfc-418f-4cf5-8d40-4dfdc67a2c51.jpg?v=1793208725
