In a child's bedroom, it serves more as a decorative night light than as main lighting.

General installation rule: 1.40 m from the floor in a child's bedroom, out of reach from a low bed, and 1.55 m in a living area. The stated 2 kg requires a wall plug suitable for the support, especially on a hollow partition.

Material, finish and maintenance

The cut-outs collect dust on their edges: a soft brush cleans better than a cloth, which can snag. The pink finish is paint: avoid household products, which could make it shiny in places. The glass globe can be removed for cleaning with lukewarm water.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E27 and the bulb is not included. In a glass globe at a child's height, an LED is the best choice: it remains warm to the touch where an incandescent bulb would make the surface hot. An opal LED of 2700 K, around 6 to 8 W, is suitable for a night light.

Frequently asked questions

What wall plug to use for 2 kg on a partition?

On a plasterboard partition, use metal expansion wall plugs rather than simple plastic ones, and aim for a stud if the position allows. On solid masonry, hammer-in wall plugs are sufficient. The manufacturer recommends that the connection be carried out by an electrician.

Is it suitable for a child's bedroom?

The manufacturer expressly mentions the child's bedroom. Two precautions nonetheless: install the light high enough so that the glass globe remains out of reach, and choose an LED, which produces little heat. The IP20 rating is not a problem in a dry room.

Pink or white, what is the difference?

Only the finish. Pink creates a distinctly decorative object, clearly visible on a white wall; white blends into the wall and only reveals the relief of the cut-outs when lit. Both colors are available in mounting A and mounting B.

Should it be used as main lighting?

That is not its purpose: a single E27 globe provides ambient light, sufficient for moving around or reading a story, not for illuminating an entire room. Pair it with a ceiling light or a desk lamp if the child works in the same room.

For more

Find other decorative shapes in our wall light catalog.
