The diameter makes all the difference: the 20 and 25 cm versions fit into narrow spaces, such as on either side of a bed, while the 40 and 50 cm versions stand alone on a bare wall.

The IP20 rating means it should only be installed in dry rooms, with a fixed cable coming out of the wall before drilling.

General installation rule: above seating, aim the centre of the disc between 1.70 and 1.90 m above the floor, and lower it to around 1.40 m above a headboard.

Material, finish and maintenance

The body and shade are made of metal with a corrosion- and rust-resistant treatment, according to the manufacturer. Three finishes: black, white and gold. A soft, dry cloth is all you need; avoid abrasive products, which can mark the gold finish.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED is built-in and included: there is no socket to fit, so no G9 or E27 bulb needs to be purchased. The module accepts 100 to 220 V and is hardwired. The model is not dimmable. Assembly is required during installation; the manufacturer recommends that the electrical connection be carried out by an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Which Kyris diameter should I choose for a living room?

Above a sofa or console, the 40 and 50 cm versions fill the wall without looking lost. For an entrance or hallway, stick to 20 or 25 cm. The 30 cm version is suitable for a standard-sized bedroom measuring 5 to 10 m², as recommended by the manufacturer.

Is Kyris suitable for a bathroom?

No. The stated IP20 rating is intended for dry rooms only. A bathroom requires a rating suitable for the area in question. However, it can be installed in a bedroom, living room, entrance or hallway where humidity levels remain low. To frame a bathroom mirror, choose a model with at least an IP44 rating.

Do I need to buy a bulb with Kyris?

No, the light source is a built-in SMD LED that comes with the luminaire. There is no accessible socket, as the module is integrated into the metal body. The stated colour temperature is warm white; it cannot be adjusted, and the model is not compatible with a dimmer. Simply install a switch on the power supply line.

Which finish should I choose: black, white or gold?

Black creates a sharp contrast against a light-coloured wall and highlights the shape of the disc. White blends into light-coloured paint and remains discreet. Gold warms up the overall look and complements existing brass handles or taps. All three finishes share the same metal body and five diameters.

For more options

Browse our wall light catalogue.
