Ersila can therefore be installed in a row along a hallway, in pairs on either side of a bed, or alone above a console table. The ribbed face is better seen on a plain wall than on busy wallpaper.

General installation rule: aim to position the mounting plate at around 1.55 m above the floor in a living area, slightly lower above the head of the bed to keep the disc within view while seated.

Material, finish and care

Resin can be cleaned with a soft, barely damp cloth, then wiped dry immediately. The recesses of the ribs collect dust: a dry brush removes it without scratching the surface. The wood-grain finish is a shade applied to the resin, to be treated in the same way as the white.

Bulb and installation

Ersila takes a G9 pin bulb, not included, LED or filament. The connection is fixed and depends on an in-place cable outlet, controlled by a standard wall switch that is not included. Plan the electrical supply before drilling the mounting.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between models A and B?

One centimeter in both dimensions: model A measures 22 cm in diameter and height, model B 23 cm. The difference is therefore small and is mainly noticeable when comparing the two side by side. The materials, white diffuser and G9 socket remain identical.

Which finishes can be ordered?

Three combinations are available in the catalog: model A in white, model A in wood-grain, and model B in white. The wood-grain shade is therefore only offered on size A. Check the selected combination at the time of ordering, as the two criteria are linked.

Which G9 bulb should be used?

Choose a G9 pin bulb designed for 230 V mains, preferably LED to limit heat near the resin. Warm white suits both finishes. The light source is not supplied: buy it before installation, as access to the socket is easier before it is mounted on the wall.

Is Ersila suitable for use near water?

No. The manufacturer states an IP 20 rating, with no waterproofing, and for indoor use only. This rating does not cover any water splashes, regardless of the body material. Reserve Ersila for a living room, bedroom, hallway, entrance hall or office.

Learn more

Our sculpted shapes are gathered in our wall lamp collection.
