A dressing mirror, a wardrobe, a rental headboard or a hallway without a junction box become possible without any work.

The trade-off is the battery life, 4 hours per charge: it is an auxiliary light rather than the main light source for a room.

General installation rule: above a mirror, leave about ten centimetres between the light bar and the top of the frame.

Material, finish and maintenance

The body combines metal and aluminium, while the diffuser is made of white acrylic. Two finishes: black and gold. Dust the profile with a soft cloth, without using solvents on the acrylic, and keep the USB port dry.

Bulb and installation

The LED is built-in: no bulb to buy, no socket to fit. The default colour is warm light and the intensity is adjusted using the touch sensor. Charging is done via the included USB cable. Mounting is by screw or adhesive, without any work on the electrical installation.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Lustra light up on a single charge?

The manufacturer states 4 hours of light on a full charge. This duration is intended for occasional daily use or as emergency lighting. For a room lit continuously throughout the evening, opt instead for a mains-powered model, or accept regular recharging between uses.

Which length of Lustra should I choose?

The 68 cm version, at 1320 lumens, is sufficient above a mirror or console. The 98 cm model increases to 1980 lumens, for a wide headboard. The 128 cm model reaches 2640 lumens, for long walls and hallways. All three are 5 cm high.

Do I need to drill a hole in the wall to install it?

Not necessarily. The manufacturer provides two mounting options: by screw or by adhesive. The latter option avoids any drilling, which is useful in rental properties or on tiles. In both cases, no electrical connection is required, so no cable outlet needs to be installed before mounting.

Is Lustra suitable for a bathroom?

The stated rating is IP20, described as not waterproof and reserved for dry indoor spaces. This rating does not cover splashes or steam. Install the light bar outside wet rooms. For a bathroom, choose a model rated at least IP44.

Learn more

Browse our wall light catalogue.
