Three types of stone are available, and each completely changes the character of the light.

The dimensions remain the same for each version: 25 cm deep, 15 cm wide, and 28 cm high.

Technical Specifications

Dimensions: 25 cm deep, 15 cm wide, 28 cm high

Body: stone

Shade: glass

Available stones: beige travertine, beige straight-grain jade, black marble

Socket: G9

Bulb: not included

Where to Install This Wall Light?

With its 25 cm projection, Astr is not a light for high-traffic areas: it requires a wall that is not brushed by passersby. It is well suited to a living room wall, the end of a fireplace, or a wide entryway wall. The black marble version stands out particularly well against light-colored paint.

General installation rule: center the light at approximately 1.60 m above the floor in a living area. Before installing, check that no tall furniture or door frame is within the 25 cm of clearance required in front of the wall.

Material, Finish, and Care

The beige travertine features characteristic open pores. The beige straight-grain jade has a tighter grain. The black marble provides a striking contrast. The manufacturer states that the stone patterns vary from one product to another. Wipe each stone with a dry cloth, without using acidic detergents.

Bulb and Installation

Astr takes a G9 bulb, which is not supplied. A warm-white G9 LED is suitable for all versions and highlights the texture of the stone. Allow for a wall-mounted cable outlet for connection, which should be installed before drilling into the wall.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which of the Three Stones Should I Choose?

The beige travertine blends into interiors with natural, wood, and linen tones. The beige straight-grain jade offers a more regular grain and a slightly greener shade. The black marble makes a bold statement and works as a focal point on a white or light gray wall.

How Much Space Is Needed in Front of the Wall?

Allow for the 25 cm projection specified by the manufacturer. In a 90 cm-wide hallway, this projection significantly narrows the passage and exposes the light to impacts. Therefore, reserve Astr for a clear wall where no one walks within half a meter of the stone.

Will the Stone I Receive Match the Photos?

No, and the manufacturer states this clearly: stone patterns vary from one product to another, so the delivered item will differ from the images. The dominant shade will match the version you choose, but the pattern of veins and pores will be unique to your piece.

Which G9 Bulb Should I Choose for This Model?

A low-wattage G9 LED in 2700 or 3000 K provides a warm glow that flatters both the stone and the glass. The manufacturer does not specify a maximum permitted wattage: an LED therefore prevents excessive heat buildup within the enclosed stone body.

Learn More

Compare the stones in our selection of wall lights.
