The two versions share a height of 47 cm and differ in diameter: 10 cm for the narrower version and 24.5 cm for the wider one.

Each is available in brass and white or black and white.

Technical specifications

Narrow version: 10 cm diameter, 47 cm height

Wide version: 24.5 cm diameter, 47 cm height

Materials: stone and metal

Available finishes: brass and white, black and white

Socket: E14 (E12 compatible)

Bulbs: not included

Where to install this wall light?

Diameter makes all the difference. The 10 cm version remains a slim 47 cm-high line: it is often installed in pairs, on either side of a mirror or headboard. The 24.5 cm version forms a much more prominent cylindrical volume, best suited for a wall on its own, in an entrance hall or on a landing.

General installation rule: when two wall lights frame a mirror, space them about ten centimetres from the edges of the mirror to prevent the stone from being reflected in it.

Material, finish and care

Stone is a natural material: its pattern and shades vary from one piece to another, so photographs do not show the exact item you will receive. Dust it dry. Avoid water, household products and abrasive sponges, which can mark soft stones. The metal part only requires a soft cloth.

Bulb and installation

The specified socket is an E14, the standard small screw-in type in France; E12 bulbs are also compatible. They are not supplied. Allow for a small-diameter bulb that will fit easily inside the body. Have the wall support and electrical connection checked before installation.

Frequently asked questions

Which E14 bulb should I choose for Abyss?

Choose a compact E14 LED in warm white if you want the usual shade of accent lighting. A bulb that is too long or has a wide bulb may not fit inside the body of the narrow version. One bulb per wall light is sufficient, and none are supplied.

Should I choose the 10 or 24.5 cm diameter?

The 10 cm diameter is easy to install in pairs and remains discreet on a busy wall. The 24.5 cm version becomes an object in its own right, visually occupying the space of a small picture. Both are 47 cm high: only the width of the cylinder and its presence on the wall change.

Are two Abyss lights identical?

No. The stone used features natural variations in shade and veining. Two wall lights installed side by side will share the same shape, height and metal finish, but not the exact pattern of the stone. This is the nature of natural materials, and it is especially noticeable once the light is on.

Is Abyss suitable for a bathroom?

The protection rating of this model is not specified by the manufacturer, and stone is sensitive to prolonged moisture. Therefore, reserve Abyss for dry rooms: bedrooms, entrance halls, corridors and landings. For a light source near a sink or shower, choose a light fitting with a specified IP rating.

For more

Discover other stone and metal wall lights.
