It is well suited above an entryway console, in a hallway, or in pairs on either side of a bed.

The shade helps determine which room it is best suited for: clear and white remain neutral, while caramel and orange warm up a dark wall, and iridescent changes depending on the viewing angle. General installation rule: mount it 1.50 to 1.60 m above the floor in a hallway, and slightly lower above the head of a bed.

Material, finish and care

The glass is colored throughout, so the color will not chip. Wipe the petal with a dry microfiber cloth, when it is cool and the bulbs are turned off. The metal body can be dusted in the same way. Iridescent shades show fingerprints more easily: hold the glass by its edge.

Bulb and installation

Vivelle takes two E14 bulbs, which are not specified as included. The manufacturer states 15 W per incandescent bulb, or the LED equivalent, meaning a much lower LED wattage for a comparable light output. It is hardwired: allow for a cable outlet in the wall. The dimmer, not included, should be compatible with dimmable LEDs if you choose this type of bulb.

Frequently asked questions

Which glass shade should I choose?

Clear and white allow neutral light to pass through and are suitable for an already colorful room. Pink, orange, and caramel tint the light and warm up a white or gray wall. Iridescent reflects varying colors depending on the angle, making it interesting near a window or in an entryway.

Can it be fitted to a dimmer?

Yes, the manufacturer states that it is compatible with dimmers, which are not included. With 15 W incandescent bulbs, a standard dimmer is suitable. If you prefer E14 LEDs, check that they are labeled as dimmable, otherwise they may flicker or fail to dim.

How much light can be expected from two 15 W bulbs?

Fifteen watts per incandescent socket provides a soft light intended for accent lighting. Two bulbs are enough to highlight a wall or accompany reading in bed, but they cannot replace ceiling lighting in a living room. With equivalent LEDs, power consumption is reduced while providing a similar effect.

Is the chrome color available?

The shades that can actually be ordered are pink, white, clear, orange, caramel, and iridescent. The original product sheet also mentions chrome and clear, which are not among the available options. If you are looking for a shade that is not listed, our customer service team can check its availability.

For more inspiration

Discover tinted glass in our wall light catalog.
