Nylaeiel can therefore be installed in a rented home, on an already finished partition wall, or next to a bed without any work. However, you must accept the visible cord, which can be hidden behind a piece of furniture or guided along a stud.

General installation rule: fix the mounting plate at about 1.30 to 1.45 m from the floor at the bedside, and choose a location within 150 cm of an outlet so as not to strain the cable.

Material, finish and maintenance

Walnut is a dense wood with a warm brown grain that darkens slightly over the years. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, without water or silicone products. The white glass diffuser is cleaned separately, once the bulb is turned off and cooled.

Bulb and installation

Nylaeiel takes a G9 pin bulb, not included, in LED or filament. The light is turned on by the switch located on the cord, without any intervention in the electrical installation. Choose the plug corresponding to your country at the time of ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Is an electrician needed to install Nylaeiel?

No. The model plugs into an electrical outlet thanks to its cord equipped with a plug and inline switch. Only the fixing of the mounting plate requires drilling, adapted to the nature of the wall. This is the common solution when no cable outlet exists in the desired location.

Which plug should I choose when ordering?

Four types are offered: European, British, American, and Australian. For an installation in France, choose the European plug. The four versions share the same dimensions, the same G9 socket, and the same cord; only the connector changes, which avoids having to use an adapter.

Is Nylaeiel moisture-resistant?

The manufacturer indicates an IP 20 rating and for indoor use only, without waterproofing. This level does not cover splashes or steam. Walnut wood also does not tolerate damp environments well. Therefore, install this wall light in a dry room, away from water sources.

Is the cord long enough?

The manufacturer states approximately 150 cm between the mounting plate and the plug. This is comfortable for reaching a low outlet from a bedside height, but insufficient for crossing a room. Locate the nearest outlet before drilling, and plan a cable pass-through if the path remains visible.

To go further

Discover our woods and our glasses in our wall light catalog.
