The alignment of discs naturally follows the width of a mirror, but also works above a worktop or sideboard.

General installation rule: place the bar 5 to 15 cm above the mirror and choose the number of light sources according to its width, so that the first and last disc remain within the width of the mirror.

Material, finish and maintenance

The matte black of the metal and the acrylic of the diffusers are not cleaned in the same way. The metal can be wiped with a damp then dry cloth; the acrylic requires a microfiber cloth only, as any powder or abrasive sponge will leave a permanent veil of micro-scratches.

Bulb and installation

Nothing to buy in terms of light source: the LEDs are integrated and included. The shade is fixed at the time of order, from the three offered. The power supply comes via a cable to a fixed outlet, to be planned above the mirror. The manufacturer recommends an electrician for the connection.

Frequently asked questions

2, 3 or 5 lights above a mirror?

Start with the width of the mirror. Two discs are enough for a single sink mirror, three cover an intermediate width, and five are for large bathroom mirrors or double sink units. An alignment wider than the mirror unbalances the composition.

Which shade to choose for getting ready in front of a mirror?

Natural light is the most faithful to colors, so the most useful for shaving or applying makeup. White provides a clear but cooler rendering, and warm light flatters the atmosphere at the expense of color accuracy. The choice is made at the time of order.

Does the IP44 rating allow installation in the bathroom?

Yes in the mirror area: IP44 covers water splashes. It does not cover jets or immersion, so the immediate surroundings of the shower and bathtub remain excluded. Check the safety volume corresponding to the intended location before drilling the wall.

What happens if you want more light later?

The number of light sources is fixed by the model ordered: it is not possible to add a disc later. If the use requires intense lighting, take the five-light version directly, or double the installation with a second bar on either side of the mirror.

To go further

Compare the black finishes in our wall light selection.
