The contrast between the circular base and the straight diffuser creates the entire design.

The body is made of metal, and the diffuser is made of silicone gel. The bar can be placed above the frame or vertically on the side: side installation provides better illumination of the face, as it eliminates the shadow under the chin produced by a high light source.

General installation rule: when installed on the side, center the bar at approximately 1.65 m above the floor; above a mirror, leave about ten centimeters between the frame and the light fixture.

Material, finish, and maintenance

The silicone gel diffuser is soft to the touch; it does not scratch like glass but does retain fingerprints. Wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. The black finish hides dried splashes, while the silver finish makes them more visible in a room with hard water.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED source is integrated: there is no socket or bulb to purchase. The color is chosen at the time of order between warm white, cool white, and the 3-color version. Assembly is carried out before fixing, followed by cable connection, while respecting the safety clearances of the wet room.

Frequently asked questions

Can this model be connected to a dimmer?

The manufacturer's technical sheet lists it as non-dimmable, so no. Its marketing text mentions a brightness adjustment, but the declared specification states the opposite, and that is the binding specification. The option available to you remains the choice of light version, particularly the 3-color version, at the time of order.

Should you prefer installation above or beside the mirror?

On the side, the light comes from the front and creates fewer shadows under the eyes and chin, which helps with shaving or applying makeup. Above, the installation is easier to wire and is suitable if you are mainly looking for general lighting in the washbasin area. Both orientations remain possible.

What is a silicone gel diffuser?

It is a soft, translucent material used here instead of glass or rigid acrylic. It diffuses light evenly along the entire length of the bar and withstands light impacts without cracking. However, it should be cleaned dry and is sensitive to solvents.

Is the silver version suitable for a light bathroom?

Yes, it blends into a white or gray room and complements chrome faucets. The black version stands out more and highlights the linear design on a light wall. In a room with hard water, the silver finish simply requires more regular wiping to stay clean.

For more

Mirror bars are compared in our selection of wall lights.
