The acrylic diffuser softens the beam and directs it upwards along the wall. It is available in two body finishes, black or white, with warm white or cool white light.

Technical specifications

Main material: metal

Body: metal

Diffuser: acrylic

Color: black or white

Light color: warm white or cool white, your choice

Light source: LED

Power supply: hardwired, 110 to 240 V

Protection rating: IP65

Use: outdoor

Dimmable: no, no smart control

Cable: non-adjustable

Advertised illuminated area: 5 to 10 m²

Assembly: assembly required

Where to install this wall light?

The manufacturer recommends the courtyard and outdoor corridor, and also mentions the entrance, patio, and garden. The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets: the exposed facade, gate pillar, or wall of an uncovered passage is therefore suitable.

The vertical silhouette is as striking as the light. Mounted alone near a door, Laxor marks the entrance; repeated along a wall, it creates a rhythmic path without continuously illuminating the ground. The advertised area of 5 to 10 m² corresponds to this use as path lighting.

General installation rule: on an exterior circulation wall, a height of 1.80 to 2.10 m from the ground keeps the light source out of sight. As the cable is not adjustable, locate the cable outlet before drilling into the masonry.

Material, finish, and maintenance

The body is made of metal, finished in black or white lacquer, and the diffuser is made of acrylic. Rinse the metal with clean water once or twice a year to remove deposits, then dry with a soft cloth. The acrylic can be cleaned with warm soapy water, without solvents or abrasive sponges.

Bulb and installation

The product sheet specifies an LED light source, powered by a 110 to 240 V cable. The wall light requires assembly upon delivery, and the manufacturer recommends using an electrician for connection. Outdoors, this point deserves special attention: the cable must enter through a waterproof outlet, protected behind the mounting plate.

Frequently asked questions

Can Laxor withstand heavy rain?

The advertised rating is IP65, the highest protection in the standard outdoor range: it protects against dust and water jets. You can therefore install it on a wall without an awning, exposed to wind and rain. Simply ensure that the cable entry remains waterproof behind the mounting plate.

Warm white or cool white for a facade?

Warm white remains close to the light of a filament lamp and enhances stone or wood. Cool white provides a sharper contrast and a more technical look, useful on dark cladding or a metal gate. The color is fixed at the time of order, as the light is not dimmable.

Can Laxor be installed indoors?

Yes, the manufacturer also recommends the office and living room. An IP65-rated light is not hindered by use in a dry room: the protection is simply higher than required. The vertical shape works well in a stairwell or on either side of an interior door.

For more

Browse our range of indoor and outdoor wall lights to compare.
