The faceted metal body has a brushed silver finish, with each panel reflecting light at its own angle, without a lampshade or glass to soften it.

It measures 18 cm wide by 15.5 cm high and is available in a single finish.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 18 cm wide, 15.5 cm high

Body: metal

Finish: brushed silver

Installation: fixed wiring

Socket: one E12 or E14

Bulb: one 15 W incandescent bulb or LED equivalent, not included

Dimming: compatible with a dimmer, not included

Where to install this wall light?

At eighteen by fifteen centimetres, it fits on a mantelpiece, a landing wall, or the side of a bookcase. The specified fifteen watts make it an accent light, best placed where a ceiling light already provides illumination rather than as a sole light source.

General installation rule: aim for 1.70 m from the floor to the centre of the wall light in a walkway, and repeat the pattern along a long wall to create regular accents.

Material, finish and care

Brushed silver has a directional grain: always wipe in the direction of this grain with a dry microfibre cloth to avoid leaving streaks. The folded edges collect more dust than the flat surfaces; a soft brush removes it without risking scratches on the metal.

Bulb and installation

One small-diameter screw-in bulb, not supplied, with an E12 or E14 base. E14 is the standard base in France. Allow 15 W for an incandescent bulb, or approximately 2 W for an LED. The wiring is fixed: the wires connect to a wall-mounted cable outlet without a cord or plug.

Frequently asked questions

Which E14 bulb should I choose for Vanta?

An E14 LED equivalent to the specified 15 W, so around 2 W, in warm white. The brushed metal is highly reflective: a frosted bulb distributes light more evenly across the facets than an exposed filament, which would create harsh highlights on each folded panel.

Are fifteen watts enough to light a room?

No, and that is not its purpose. Fifteen watts for an incandescent bulb provides ambient or accent lighting. Plan Vanta as a supplement to an overhead light or floor lamp, or install several on the same wall if you want a usable level of illumination.

Is Vanta compatible with a dimmer?

The manufacturer states that it is compatible with a dimmer, which is not included. If you choose an LED, select a model that is explicitly dimmable and a dimmer designed for low loads: a single 2 W LED often falls below the operating threshold of older dimmers.

Can it be installed without an electrician?

It connects to a recessed cable outlet without a socket or corded switch. Therefore, a power supply must already be available at the exact chosen location, and the circuit must be modified. Leave this work to a professional if the light point still needs to be created.

Discover more

Explore the sculptural metal forms in our wall light collection.
