Its slim design is also suitable for hallways and reading corners, where it creates a horizontal line without taking up space. The IP20 rating means it must be installed in a dry room.

The length determines the effect: 60 or 80 cm to border a mirror or bedside table, 120 to 150 cm to highlight a sofa, 180 or 200 cm to span an entire dining room wall. Measure the support before ordering, as the bar cannot be cut.

General installation rule: when mounted horizontally above a piece of furniture, allow 20 to 30 cm above the top; on a bare wall, a centerline 1.80 m above the floor keeps the bar above eye level. Vertical installation on either side of a mirror is suitable for shorter lengths.

Material, finish and maintenance

The body is made of black-finished metal and the diffuser of acrylic, creating a continuous line of light rather than a series of dots. Dust the metal with a dry cloth. The acrylic can be cleaned with warm soapy water, without alcohol or solvents that could cloud it.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED is integrated: it comes with the light fixture and cannot be replaced like a socket bulb. Choose the color when ordering: warm white or neutral white. It is connected to the mains, 110 to 240 V, via a fixed cable outlet. Assembly is required upon delivery, and the manufacturer recommends hiring an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

What length bar should I choose for a living room?

Choose a bar slightly shorter than the piece of furniture it overhangs: 120 or 150 cm above a three-seater sofa, 100 cm above a console table. The 180 and 200 cm versions are designed for large dining room walls.

Can the LED in Liora be replaced?

No, not like a standard bulb. The product sheet indicates an SMD LED light source, included with the fixture and without a socket. This is how linear bars work: the module is mounted in the profile. Therefore, choose the color carefully when ordering.

Can Liora be installed vertically?

The shape of the fixture does not prevent this, and shorter lengths are well suited to it, for example on either side of a mirror. Check the orientation of the cable outlet, which is not adjustable, and have your electrician approve the mounting before drilling.

For more

See the full our collection of wall lights for other formats.
