The choice of shape is just as important as the room: the dome diffuses an enveloping light, well suited to a headboard, while the geometric volume creates sharper shadows, making it interesting in a hallway or staircase.

General installation rule: approximately 1.30 m from the floor on either side of a bed, and 1.60 to 1.80 m in a hallway to keep the passage clear. The IP20 rating excludes wet rooms.

Material, finish and maintenance

The gold finish warms the light reflected inside the shade, while black absorbs it and visually narrows the beam. On gold, fingerprints are more noticeable: a dry microfiber cloth is sufficient, without abrasive products or scratchy sponges.

Bulb and installation

E26/E27 socket, bulb not included. An E27 globe LED pairs well with the dome; a more compact LED disappears into the geometric version. The wall light is hardwired to a fixed outlet, which must be planned before installation, and the manufacturer recommends using an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Dome or geometric: what is the difference in light?

The dome reflects a wide light without sharp angles, pleasant as accent lighting near a bed. The geometric version channels the beam between its faces and projects sharper shadows on the wall. The structure, socket and adjustable arm are identical in both cases.

Is the gold finish brass?

The manufacturer states only metal for the body and shade, and describes the color as gold. It is therefore a gold finish on metal, not solid brass advertised as such. The visual appearance remains close to a satin gold according to the images provided.

Can two be installed on either side of a bed?

Yes, this is the most common use for this size. Plan two symmetrical cable outlets before installation, as the power supply is not plug-in. Choose the same shape and finish for both sides, then adjust the arms towards the inside of the bed.

Can the arm be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The adjustable arm can be manipulated once the mounting plate is fixed, to direct the light towards a book, a wall or the ceiling. Only the mounting plate is stationary because it holds the connection. Turn off the power before any manipulation if you need to force an adjustment.

Learn more

See the other gold finishes in our wall light collection.
