Its three light colours are particularly useful here: a cool shade in the morning in front of the mirror and a warm shade in the evening. The 20 cm disc remains compact on a bathroom wall.

General installation rule: above a mirror, aim for 1.90 m from the floor; in a hallway, 1.70 m is sufficient. Under a porch, place the disc out of the direct path of rain and within reach of the colour-switching control.

Material, finish and care

Chrome reflects light and shows marks easily: wipe it with a dry cloth to prevent smudges. The coloured acrylic, beige or green depending on the colour combination, can be cleaned with a damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive powders, which may scratch it. In a bathroom, dry the surface after showering to minimise limescale build-up.

Bulb and installation

No bulb is required: the LEDs are built into the light fixture, and the manufacturer states that they cannot be replaced. Their listed average lifespan is 50,000 hours. In a bathroom, the electrical installation must comply with the safety distances specified by the relevant electrical standard and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Frequently asked questions

How does the three-colour light work?

The manufacturer states that the same LED module provides three selectable light colours. You can switch from one shade to another without changing the bulb, as the light source is built in. This is the model's main advantage in a bathroom, where lighting needs differ in the morning in front of the mirror and in the evening.

Is Lustra suitable for a bathroom?

The manufacturer states that it is suitable for damp environments and lists bathrooms and covered outdoor areas. The installation location is just as important as this rating: maintain the distances required by the relevant standard from the shower and bath, and have a professional carry out the electrical installation.

What happens when the LEDs reach the end of their lifespan?

The LEDs are built in and cannot be replaced. Their listed average lifespan is 50,000 hours. At four hours a day, this exceeds thirty years. As the module cannot be removed, the entire light fixture must be replaced, not just a bulb.

Should I choose the beige or green colour combination?

Chrome and beige remains neutral and complements light-coloured tiles and white walls. Chrome and green provides a bolder contrast and works best as a single feature on a dark wall or in a room that is already colourful. The dimensions and LED are the same in both cases.

Discover more

Browse our selection of wall lights.
