The 46 cm version, as wide as it is tall, can stand alone on a living room wall or above a dining room sideboard.

General installation rule: in a hallway, align the wall lights at 1.75 m above the floor and space them approximately two meters apart. The diffusing fabric can be mounted higher without creating glare.

Material, finish and care

Dust the lampshade fabric dry with a feather duster or soft brush, avoiding getting it wet: a mark on stretched fabric cannot be undone. For the antique gold finish, do not use polishing products, as they would remove the aged effect.

Bulb and installation

Piaf uses an E14 bulb, not included, with a maximum wattage of 15 W for incandescent bulbs or an LED equivalent. An LED bulb limits heat buildup within the fabric-enclosed volume. The model is hardwired and therefore connected directly to the electrical installation.

Frequently asked questions

Which width should I choose, 16.5 or 46 cm?

The 16.5 cm version is suitable for hallways, bedrooms and narrow walls, and can easily be used in multiples. The 46 cm version creates a decorative feature on its own in a living space. The height of 46 cm and the E14 socket remain the same.

How do I clean a fabric lampshade?

Dry cleaning only: use a feather duster, soft-bristle brush, or the brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to the lowest setting. Water and detergents leave lasting marks on stretched fabric, and attempting to remove them yourself may deform the metal frame supporting it.

Does the antique gold finish age?

It already imitates patinated metal, which is precisely the effect intended by the manufacturer. Dry dusting is sufficient for maintenance. Avoid polishing creams and cloths soaked in polish, as they would even out the color and remove the aged appearance.

How many Piaf wall lights are needed for a ten-meter hallway?

Plan for four to five narrow 16.5 cm versions, spaced approximately two meters apart, for even lighting without dark areas. Each requires its own power supply: have an electrician install the wiring before drilling the mounting plates.

For more

Discover fabric lampshades from our collection of wall lights.
