It is available in two sizes: an 18 cm diameter dome that is 19 cm high, and a 28 cm diameter dome that is 29 cm high.

The manufacturer offers four finishes: rose gold, gold, smoke grey, and silver. The 28 cm dome takes up almost 30 cm of wall space in each direction and becomes the main feature of an entrance or living room wall.

General installation rule: with a dome, the bulb remains partially visible from underneath; place the wall light above eye level, at around 1.90 m, in a hallway you walk through standing up.

Material, finish and care

The shade is made of metal and acrylic. The gold and rose gold finishes reflect warm light, while smoke grey and silver reflect cooler light. Acrylic scratches easily: avoid abrasive sponges and alcohol-based products, and use a soft, slightly damp cloth instead.

Bulb and installation

The socket accepts E26 or E27 bulbs. The manufacturer states a maximum of 40 W for incandescent bulbs, or an LED with equivalent light output, which is four to six watts. The wall light is hardwired and must be connected to a wall-mounted power supply. Dimmer compatibility is indicated, but the dimmer is not supplied.

Frequently asked questions

Which finish should I choose for Auden?

Gold and rose gold warm the light and complement wood and earthy tones. Silver and smoke grey remain neutral and pair better with brushed steel or cool-toned paint. Both sizes are available in all four finishes, so the choice is independent of the size.

18 or 28 cm diameter?

The 18 cm size is easy to multiply and remains discreet on a busy wall. The 28 cm size, which is 29 cm high, stands out on its own and requires an uncluttered wall. Measure the available width before choosing, leaving enough space around the dome so that its round shape remains clearly visible.

Which E27 bulb provides a warm light?

A 2700 K E27 LED with a light output equivalent to a 40 W incandescent bulb remains within the stated limits. Bulbs are not supplied. Avoid models with a large decorative bulb on the 18 cm size, as its depth is more limited.

The manufacturer mentions moisture: how far does that go?

It states that it is moisture-resistant and suitable for use in bathrooms and under an outdoor shelter, but does not specify an IP rating. Without this information, no specific area can be confirmed as suitable near a shower or outdoors in exposed conditions. Have an electrician confirm the installation location using the instructions.

For more

Browse our entire collection of wall lights.
