The contrast between the dark metal and the gold remains subtle.

It measures 29 cm wide by 30 cm high, with a single G9 socket.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 29 cm wide, 30 cm high

Materials: metal and glass

Body: metal

Colors: white, gold, black

Mounting: hardwired

Socket: G9

Bulb: 7 W incandescent or LED equivalent, not included

Dimming: compatible with a dimmer switch, not included

Where to install this wall light?

With its 29 cm width, Venice makes a bold statement on the wall: leave it free space, above a sideboard, on a staircase, or on a slightly bare living room wall. Two symmetrical lights also work well in a bedroom.

General installation rule: place the center of the globe about 1.60 m above the floor on a passageway wall, and about twenty centimeters above a piece of furniture to avoid casting shadows on the tabletop.

Material, finish and maintenance

The structure is made of metal, available in black, gold, or white depending on the model, and the diffuser is made of glass. Dust the discs with a dry cloth, without abrasive products that would mark the gold finish. The glass can be cleaned with a barely damp cloth, with the bulb turned off and cool.

Bulb and installation

A two-pin G9 bulb is required, not supplied, limited to 7 W incandescent or LED equivalent. Check that the chosen LED fits inside the globe. The light is hardwired: the connection is made to a fixed cable outlet.

Frequently asked questions

Which G9 bulb to choose for Venice?

A two-pin G9 is sufficient, not supplied. Stay within the stated 7 W limit for incandescent bulbs, or choose an LED equivalent, generally between 2 and 4 W. Choose a compact model: the glass globe leaves little room around the socket.

What installation height for a light 29 cm wide?

First, measure the free space to the right and left of the cable outlet: you need at least 15 cm on each side. In terms of height, the general rule is to place the center of the light about 1.60 m high in a hallway or entrance.

Is Venice compatible with a dimmer?

The manufacturer states that it is compatible with dimmer switches, which are sold separately. Dimming also depends on the bulb: a non-dimmable LED G9 will start to flicker. This information is on the bulb packaging, under the dimmable or dimmable label, and should be checked before purchase.

Is the glass globe supplied assembled?

The manufacturer's information does not specify the packaging. Simply plan to install the base first, then place the bulb and the globe last, once the electrical connection has been checked. Handle the glass with a cloth to avoid fingerprints.

For more

Other metal and glass finishes await you in the wall light catalog.
