In pairs, on each side of a bed, the two rings frame the headboard without overloading it.

The projection is 13 cm: allow for this protrusion in a narrow passage. General installation rule: the center of the ring at around 1.60 m from the floor in walking areas, around 1.30 m next to a bed. No IP rating is provided, so dry rooms only.

Material, finish and maintenance

The ring is carved from a block of natural marble: its veining depends on the stone extracted, and two pieces never have the same pattern. Seven shades are offered, from white jade to dark green. Wipe the stone with a dry cloth, without vinegar or acidic detergent, which attack polished marble.

Bulb and installation

Rubi takes a G9 base bulb, LED type. The manufacturer does not provide a maximum power: stick to a low-power G9 LED, in 2700 or 3000 K, which heats up little behind the frosted glass. The light accepts a voltage of 110 to 240 V.

Frequently asked questions

What bulb is needed for the Rubi light?

A G9 base bulb, designed for LED, not included. A 2700 or 3000 K G9 gives a warm light that matches the frosted glass. The manufacturer does not indicate a maximum power: a low-consumption LED limits the heat accumulated in the closed globe.

Are two Rubi lights identical?

No. The ring is cut from a block of natural marble, whose veining varies depending on the extraction area. Two lights of the same shade share the shape, diameter and globe, but not the stone pattern. This is visible especially on the contrasting shades.

Which marble shade to choose for Rubi?

Seven shades exist. White jade and light marble blend into a painted wall and let the globe show. Dark green, purple and the two reds stand out clearly and make the light the focal point of the wall. Travertine remains intermediate, beige and discreet.

Is Rubi suitable for a bathroom?

No protection rating is provided for Rubi, and polished marble is sensitive to common cleaning products. We therefore reserve it for dry rooms: bedroom, living room, entrance, hallway. For a bathroom, choose a model whose IP rating is indicated, at least IP44.

To go further

Browse the other stones and finishes in our wall light catalog.
