The 13 cm depth remains reasonable, but the circular design loses much of its impact in a corner or behind a tall piece of furniture.

General installation rule: center the disc at approximately 1.60 m above the floor, eye level for a standing person, so that the veining of the stone remains clearly visible.

When installed in pairs, maintain sufficient spacing: two 25 cm discs placed too close together will interfere with each other.

Material, finish, and care

Jade and marble are natural stones that are porous and sensitive to acids: do not use vinegar, lemon juice, or descaling products. A soft, dry cloth, or one barely dampened with clean water, is sufficient. As the veining is unique to each block, no two sconces are ever identical.

Bulb and installation

Zemirir takes a G9 LED or filament bulb, operating at 110 to 240 V AC. The light fixture comes wired and connects to a wall cable outlet, then is controlled by an external wall switch, not supplied, which provides the power supply.

Frequently asked questions

Does the veining match the product photos?

No, and the manufacturer itself states this: the marble patterns vary from one piece to another, so the piece received will differ from the images. This is the nature of natural stone cut from separate blocks. However, the shape, dimensions, and overall finish remain identical.

Which finish should I choose between jade and marble?

The jades, in green, white, or beige, provide a more translucent material and a warmer appearance. The black and white marbles play on the contrast of the veining and suit a graphic interior. The five finishes share the same 25 cm disc and G9 socket.

Does the stone heat up during operation?

A G9 bulb remains a small light source, and an LED emits significantly less heat than a halogen bulb with the same base. Therefore, opt for a G9 LED: the stone and joint remain at a moderate temperature. In any case, avoid overdimensioning the bulb relative to the available space.

Can Zemirir be installed in a bathroom?

The manufacturer indicates an IP 20 rating, not waterproof, for indoor use only: the answer is no. There is also a material consideration, as jade and marble are porous and do not tolerate constant steam well. Reserve this model for an entrance hall, living room, or bedroom.

To learn more

Other stones, glass, and metals are featured in our wall sconce catalog.
