The manufacturer mentions the bedroom and bathroom, with the IP44 rating making the latter possible away from direct water spray.

General installation rule: the lower edge should be approximately 1.90 m above a mirror, or 1.20 m high as a bedside panel. Center the line on the element it illuminates rather than on the entire wall.

Material, finish and maintenance

Matte black does not produce reflections, allowing the acrylic diffuser to take center stage. However, this finish shows light dust: wiping it regularly with a dry cloth is sufficient. Acrylic should not be cleaned with solvents or abrasive sponges.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED is built-in and supplied with the light fixture: no socket or bulb needs to be purchased. The power and color are selected at the time of purchase. Connection is made to a fixed cable outlet after the assembly provided by the manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need one, two or three light sources?

The deciding factor is the width to be illuminated. One light source and its 12 W are suitable for a bedside table or a narrow mirror. Two light sources, or 24 W, illuminate a single sink. The three-light, 36 W version is designed for wide cabinets and walls wider than one meter, where a single short line would create an imbalance.

Which shade of white should I choose?

Warm white is suitable for a bedroom and provides a relaxing light in the evening. Neutral white is the common compromise for a bathroom, as it renders colors without harshness. Cool white has a bluish tint and is mainly used when precision matters more than comfort. The choice is final at the time of purchase.

Is the IP44 rating sufficient near a sink?

Yes for the mirror and vanity area, where water only reaches by spray. IP44 covers exactly this case. Stay away from the shower screen and the edge of the bathtub, which have stricter requirements, and have the electrician responsible for the connection approve the location.

Can this model be connected to a dimmer?

The manufacturer states that the wall light is not dimmable, so a wall dimmer is not intended and could cause the built-in LED to flicker. The light level is adjusted at the time of purchase by the number of light sources and the shade of white. For two light levels, plan for two separate circuits in the room instead.

For more options

Lines and bars can be found in our collection of wall lights.
