Leave it enough clear space along its entire length so that the bar stands out without being obstructed by a corner or tall furniture.

General installation rule: for a horizontal bar, aim for a centreline approximately 1.70 m above the floor on a walkway wall, or 20 to 30 cm above the back of a sofa.

Material, finish and care

The body is made of metal and iron, oven-baked after electroplating and polishing, which ensures the durability of the finish. It is available in two versions, black or black and red, with a black shade. Dust the bar along its entire length with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding abrasive creams or solvents that could damage the paint.

Bulb and installation

No bulb needs to be purchased: the LED is integrated into the bar and has a power of approximately 7 W. The manufacturer states that a driver is required for the power supply, operating at 110 to 240 V. It is controlled by a push-button switch, which must be planned in advance and is not included; the light is not dimmable.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy a bulb for Ulphael?

No. The LED is integrated into the bar and has a stated power of approximately 7 W. There is no socket or bulb holder, and nothing needs to be replaced by the user. The manufacturer states that a driver is required for the power supply: please plan for this during installation. Our customer service team remains available to answer any questions on this point.

Should I choose black or black and red?

Both finishes feature the same 124 cm bar, the same LED and black shade. The black version is understated and versatile on both light and dark walls. The black and red version adds a splash of colour, ideal for brightening up a living space. The dimensions are identical.

Is the light from Ulphael adjustable?

The manufacturer offers three colour temperatures, from warm white at 3000 K to cool white at 6000 K, but states that the light is not dimmable. It is controlled by a simple push-button switch. To vary the atmosphere, play with the stated colour temperature and other light sources in the room rather than using dimming.

Where should a 124 cm bar be placed?

On a wall long enough to accommodate it without touching the corners: above a sofa, sideboard, double bed, or in a stairwell. Weighing 5 kg, it requires secure fixing at several points. Avoid a wall section that is too short, where the line would appear squeezed between two obstacles.

Discover more

Discover the contemporary designs in our wall light catalogue.
