The large 28 cm size is ideal for a living room wall or above a bed, where the linen lampshade can spread out without touching any furniture.

General installation rule: allow 1.60 m from the floor to the centre of the backplate in a passageway, and slightly lower if the wall light is used as a bedside lamp.

Material, finish and care

The backplate is made of brass and supplied in a polished or blackened finish, while the lampshade is made of white linen. Wipe the brass with a dry cloth. Dust the linen with a soft brush: water marks the fibres and a stain remover leaves a clear ring on light-coloured fabric.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E14 screw socket; the bulb is not included. An LED or filament bulb is suitable, depending on the socket. The wiring is fixed, rated at 110–240 V, and connects to a wall cable outlet. The light is controlled by a standard wall switch, not included.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the 13 cm or 28 cm size?

Both are 39 cm high; only the diameter of the lampshade differs. The 13 cm size remains discreet in a hallway or staircase. The 28 cm size provides a broader light and a more pronounced volume, making it better suited to a living room wall or a spacious bedroom.

What does the version sold as a pair contain?

References marked with two correspond to a pair of the same wall light, in the same size and finish. This is the ideal option for symmetrically framing a bed, mirror or fireplace, rather than ordering two individual units separately.

Brass or blackened: what is the difference?

Only the metal finish differs; the dimensions, E14 socket and white linen lampshade remain the same. Brass catches the light and warms up a light-coloured wall. The blackened finish stands out against a pale background and is more discreet on dark paint.

Can Noble be installed in a bathroom?

No. The manufacturer states an IP20 rating, which is moisture-resistant but not waterproof, for indoor use only. The linen of the lampshade does not tolerate steam well, which loosens the fibres and leaves permanent marks. Choose a living room, bedroom, entrance hall or study instead, away from wet rooms and their splashes.

For more inspiration

Explore the sculpted backplates in our wall light catalogue.
