It works well on its own on a blank wall, in a symmetrical pair above two bedside tables, or as a regular trio in a hallway. Its 2 kg weight and compact size make it easy to install.

General installation rule: align the centre of the disc at 1.50 m from the floor in a living area, and approximately 1.20 m above a bedside table to provide light without glaring the person lying down.

Material, finish and maintenance

The polished brass is electroplated and then coated with protective paint, so it retains its shine without any special maintenance. The frosted shade conceals the LED but collects dust, so wiping it with a dry cloth once a month is enough to maintain an even appearance.

Bulb and installation

As the LED is integrated, no bulb is required. The manufacturer states that a power supply box is required; it is concealed behind the mounting plate, which must therefore have sufficient space. The light is controlled by a push-button switch, with no dimming.

Frequently asked questions

Warm light or cool light for Patricia?

The product page offers two versions to choose from when ordering. Warm light, around 3000 K, is suitable for bedrooms and living rooms. Cool light, close to 6000 K, has a bluish tint and is suitable for a utility hallway or workspace. This choice is final at the time of purchase.

Does the disc protrude far from the wall?

The manufacturer gives a diameter and height of 17 cm, without specifying the thickness. The shape remains that of a flat disc mounted against the wall, which limits how far it protrudes. In a narrow hallway, however, measure the width of the passage before choosing the final location.

Should I use one or two Patricia wall lights per bedroom?

Two discs, one above each bedside table, create a symmetrical look and balanced lighting on both sides of the bed. A single disc is sufficient on a hallway wall or near an entrance mirror. At 7 W, expect ambient rather than general lighting.

Can Patricia be dimmed?

No, according to the manufacturer: it is controlled by a push-button switch and the light is not dimmable. Connecting an LED module not designed for dimming to a dimmer switch often causes flickering. Use a standard switch and adjust the lighting by adding more wall lights instead.

For more inspiration

Discover the round shapes in our range of wall lights.
