Two units frame a mirror or headboard without encroaching on the walkway. Its fixed wiring requires a cable outlet at the installation point.

General installation rule: aim for the center of the sconce between 1.55 and 1.70 m from the floor to illuminate a mirror, or slightly lower above a bedside table. Mounted to the ceiling, it becomes a small ceiling light for a hallway or dressing room.

Material, finish and maintenance

The brass finish retains a golden reflection; the black finish hides the structure in favor of the globe. The white glass veils the light source, while the clear glass reveals the bulb. A soft, dry cloth is all that is needed for the brass, without abrasive products.

Bulb and installation

Irinor takes a G9 socket bulb, not included, in LED or exposed filament. The sconce connects to the 110-240 V mains and is operated from a standard wall switch, to be planned separately. As the wiring is fixed, entrust the connection to an electrician if no cable outlet exists at the desired location.

Frequently asked questions

Which G9 bulb to choose for Irinor?

A 230 V G9, LED or with visible filament, is suitable. Behind the clear glass, a decorative filament bulb remains clearly visible and contributes to the design: choose it in warm white. Behind the white glass, the bulb model matters less, as the globe already diffuses the light. In both cases, the bulb is not included.

Is Irinor suitable for a bathroom?

The manufacturer states an IP 20 rating and reserves this sconce for dry indoor use. A bathroom requires a fixture protected against splashes, with a rating appropriate for the installation zone. Irinor therefore finds its place better in a bedroom, hallway, living room, or entrance.

Can Irinor be mounted to the ceiling?

Yes, the manufacturer provides for both installations. Mounted to the ceiling, it forms a light point with a 20 cm drop, useful in an entrance, hallway, or dressing room. The cable outlet must then be brought to the mounting point, since the sconce's wiring is fixed and not relocatable.

White glass or clear glass: what's the difference?

The white glass opacifies the globe: the light comes out evenly, without a bright spot, which is suitable near a bed or mirror. The clear glass reveals the bulb and provides a brighter light, with reflections on the brass. Both versions share the same G9 socket and dimensions.

To learn more

Browse our entire collection of wall sconces to compare metal finishes.
