The design is open: the wall is visible between the branches, and the cast shadow extends the design when the light is on.

It measures 33 cm wide by 38 cm high and takes two G9 bulbs.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 33 cm wide, 38 cm high

Body: brass

Colors: antique gold leaf, white

Finishes: antique gold leaf, white

Installation: hardwired

Bulbs: two G9 bulbs

Bulbs: two 10 W incandescent bulbs or LED equivalent, not included

Dimming: compatible with a dimmer, not included

Where to install this wall light?

The branch design stands out all the more against a plain background: a matte-painted wall, preferably light for the gold version and darker for the white version. A living room wall, above a double bed, or in a hallway is ideal for its 33 cm width.

General installation rule: aim for 1.50 m from the floor to the center of the design on a clear wall, and 1.25 m above a headboard, so that the branches remain above the pillows.

Material, finish and care

Antique gold leaf is a patinated finish with an intentionally irregular appearance: do not rub it and do not use any polishing cream, as this would make it look uniform. The white version is dusted in the same way, using a soft brush to follow each branch.

Bulb and installation

Two G9 bulbs are required, not included, with a maximum of 10 W each for incandescent bulbs or their LED equivalent. As the sockets are integrated into the design, check the size of the bulbs you choose. The light is hardwired and connects to a cable outlet.

Frequently asked questions

Antique gold leaf or white: which should I choose?

Antique gold leaf provides a warm patina that stands out against a white or beige wall and catches the eye even when the light is off. The white version blends into a light-colored wall and only reveals the shadow of the branches when lit. The dimensions remain the same.

Do the branches cast shadows on the wall?

Yes, that is the benefit of the open design: the two G9 bulbs placed behind the motif create a second network of branches in shadow on the wall. The effect is sharper with clear glass bulbs and softer with frosted G9 bulbs.

Which G9 bulb should I choose for this model?

Two G9 LEDs corresponding to the stated 10 W incandescent rating, so approximately 2 to 3 W each, in warm white to complement the golden patina. Use the same model for both sockets so that both sides of the design maintain the same hue.

Is Mandeville suitable above a bed?

Its 33 by 38 cm format is ideal, provided it is centered on the headboard and mounted high enough so that it is not bumped when sitting down. As the light is hardwired, plan for a cable outlet before assembling the bed.

Learn more

Discover the intricate designs in our collection of wall lights.
