The 22 cm diameter by 15 cm high design is suitable for a hallway, landing, or above a console table, anywhere a compact volume is sufficient.

General installation rule: on the ceiling of a walkway, lights of this diameter should be spaced approximately 1.50 m apart; as a wall light, position its centre around 1.80 m above the floor.

Material, finish and care

Electroplating deposits a thin metal layer, which is then polished: the finish is shiny but sensitive to abrasives. A soft, dry cloth maintains the surface without damaging it. Avoid scouring creams and abrasive sponges, which can leave visible micro-scratches on polished brass.

Bulb and installation

An E14 bulb is required, but not supplied, up to the specified 15 W. The light does not come with a driver: it connects directly to 110 to 240 V. The 2 kg weight remains light, but the fixture must still be mounted on a sound support.

Frequently asked questions

Is dimming possible?

The manufacturer states that dimming depends on the installed bulb: if the E14 bulb is labelled as dimmable, the function is available. The bulb supplied by default does not allow this. The original push-button simply turns the light on and off, without intensity control. Check the dimmable label on the packaging before purchasing, and plan for a compatible dimmer switch.

Which E14 bulb is best for polished brass?

A 230 V E14 bulb, 15 W maximum. On shiny metal, a 2700 K frosted LED limits harsh reflections while retaining the warmth of the brass. A filament bulb remains an option if it is visible from the usual viewing angle.

Does Luno illuminate an entire room?

No. Fifteen watts and a 22 cm diffuser provide localised accent lighting. Use it to mark a hallway, highlight a landing, or illuminate a console table. In a living room, pair it with a main ceiling light or floor lamps.

Will the brass patina?

The layer achieved by electroplating is more stable than solid brass, but it changes slowly and loses some of its shine. Regular dry wiping slows this process and preserves the original shine for longer. The manufacturer does not mention any protective varnish on this model.

For more options

See the compact designs in our selection of wall lights.
