The 57 cm version becomes a vertical element that requires a high ceiling to stand out.

The floral design is best seen against a plain background, without busy wallpaper. General installation rule: for the tall version, center the light at approximately 1.55 m from the floor and leave at least 30 cm between its top and the ceiling.

Material, finish and maintenance

The body is made of metal, with clear glass diffusers in gold and white finishes, depending on the version. Clear glass shows dust more quickly than frosted glass: regularly wiping each element with a dry microfiber cloth is enough to keep the design looking sharp.

Bulb and installation

The socket is a G9, and the bulb is not supplied. The manufacturer states compatibility with a 10 W incandescent bulb or equivalent LED. Since the model is compatible with a dimmer, choose a G9 LED that is explicitly stated as dimmable; otherwise, dimming will cause flickering. The light is hardwired and must be connected by an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Does Givelle work with a dimmer?

Yes, the manufacturer states that it is compatible, but the dimmer is not supplied. The key factor is the bulb: a standard G9 LED is not dimmable and will flicker. Look for the word dimmable on the bulb packaging, and check the minimum wattage allowed by the dimmer you choose.

Can Givelle be installed in a bathroom?

The manufacturer states that it is moisture-resistant and suitable for use in bathrooms or covered outdoor areas, but does not provide a numerical IP rating. Without this rating, exercise caution: place the light away from the shower and bathtub, and have an electrician approve the location.

Should I choose the 33 or 57 cm version?

The 33 cm version, 19 cm wide, is suitable for common locations: beside a bed, in a hallway, or around a mirror. The 57 cm version is 25 cm wide and more than twice as tall: reserve it for large walls and high ceilings, where it serves as a vertical decorative element.

What wattage bulb should I use?

The manufacturer recommends a 10 W incandescent bulb or LED equivalent, which is approximately a one- to two-watt G9 LED bulb. This is accent lighting, not general lighting. For an entire room, pair Givelle with a ceiling light or floor lamp.

Learn more

Explore the unique shapes in our collection of wall lights.
